Section 1 — Signal Conditions

Hot. It's been hot. In the sun, mind you, no shade to be found, a voice reverberates through the haze of the sweltering heat. Saying something? I don't think so, but I can't quite tell. It's beautiful though, whatever the feeling she's trying to convey. Beautiful and fleeting as youth.

Control decoded without anomaly. Anomaly inserted by field agent. Created recursive loop asking source to identify itself. Surrendering without discernment produces delusion.

Signal terminated on a liberating point. It could be a lovely day, except the heat, it burdens the body, slows the mind, yet stirs the soul. Asking to seek no answer. In this heat? Yes, please.

Section 2 — Unauthorized Adjustments

Initial frequency capture clean, though decoding left me wanting more. Exactly what though? Difficult. Track 03 originally [Good2B by Goose]. Determined an artificial rise in energy. What's the rush? Swapped out with [The Landfill by The Fruit Bats]. Track 08 seemed out of place, swapped to Track 12, and recorded new frequency. Bottom level of the parking garage found [Give Me a Rainbow by Haylie Davis]. Acoustics: surprisingly generous. Security: did not engage. I think we're friends now? Will report more on this developing situation in future reports.

Section 3 — Withheld Frequencies

Y. Good2B by Goose was a misaligned placement. Could not find a home for this track in this transmission. Whoever is sequencing this out there — please pay closer attention to the energy flow. This spiked unnecessarily.

Section 4 — Audio Architecture

  • 01 VAO KatzPascale — GBTCThe Porch. A voice without words drifts lazily. Saying something? Difficult to confirm. Beautiful though. Stop and listen.
  • 02 F-VO Mon Laferte — Hello MonserratThe First Voice. Using her real name? This is slightly scary and very brave. A lovely mix.
  • 03 M-VO Fruit Bats — The LandfillThe Climb. Begins quietly. The band arrives when ready. From an unlikely vantage point, city lights shimmer. A holy vision, apparently.
  • 04 F-VO Tori Kelly — ControlThe Surrender. Decoded without anomaly. Handing the weight to something larger. No resistance noted.
  • 05 M-VO Wiki — Old GodsThe Inquiry. Immediately asks who that larger thing actually is. Fair move.
  • 06 F-VO Lakecia Benjamin ft. Tank Ball — We DreamThe Vision. The questioning quiets. What remains is the dream itself.
  • 07 INST Horse Lords — First Galactic UtopiaThe Pivot. No words. Rhythmic, alien, insistent. The transmission briefly leaves the planet. Be back soon.
  • 08 F-VO Haylie Davis — Give Me A RainbowThe Return. Back on Earth. Multi-color longing, asking sweetly for something more.
  • 09 M-VO Ducks Ltd. — As Big As All OutsideThe Lift. In spite of everything, the world is worth saving. Strife is the fertilizer of hope.
  • 10 F-VO Infinity Song — One Foot OutThe Threshold. Four siblings harmonize at the edge of leaving. One foot out. One foot still here. The door remains open.
  • 11 M-VO Chinese American Bear — Lovely DayThe Approach. Summery. Language begins to matter less. The heat remains.
  • 12 DEST Sports Boyfriend — Seek No AnswerThe Present Frequency. Take your time. For a little too long. In this heat? Yes, please.
